Narrative
Integrity Music is a globally influential worship label known for cultivating iconic artists and publishing church anthems heard around the world. As their Franklin, Tennessee headquarters expanded, Integrity needed a new creative and executive hub—one that could support their full workflow from songwriting and recording to podcasting, content editing, leadership meetings, and live performance capture.
The vision: consolidate creative production and executive operations under one roof, while delivering professional-level acoustics in every space—without sacrificing aesthetics or flow. The challenge lay in retrofitting an existing commercial footprint to serve these diverse functions, each with specific noise control and sound quality requirements.
Audio Virtue Acoustics delivered a comprehensive acoustic design that transformed the headquarters into a multi-room creative engine: calm, sonically controlled, and built to serve Integrity’s mission of global worship innovation.
Functional Needs & Performance Goals
This project required a complete acoustical ecosystem for Integrity’s content and leadership teams. The design included:
A full-service recording studio suite for songwriting, tracking, mixing, and vocal production
A podcast and content studio optimized for vocal clarity and flexibility
A live performance space for intimate sets, artist showcases, and multi-camera video capture
A video and audio editing suite tuned for critical listening and accurate monitoring
Acoustically isolated executive offices designed for focused work, private calls and accurate critical listening
Two private conference rooms with low noise floors and controlled speech intelligibility, key for video conferencing
Key goals included inter-room isolation, quiet HVAC, clean power for audio gear, and neutral yet inspiring sonic environments. All rooms had to serve their function while aligning with the client’s high standards for visual design, brand alignment, and technical excellence.
Design Strategy
The design strategy balanced professional acoustic performance with seamless integration into a modern office layout. All critical spaces were acoustically isolated using proprietary sound isolation system design producing decoupled ceiling, wall and floor assemblies with layered mass construction. Air gaps and structural breaks were carefully planned to control sound transmission between rooms.
Room acoustics were custom-tailored:
The studio featured broadband absorption, tight bass control, and very flat frequency response to support songwriting, vocal and instrumental tracking, mixing, and mastering.
The podcast/edit suites were designed with tight RT60 control and high vocal intelligibility
The performance space used overhead absorption and discreet wall scatter/absorption slat panels to maintain clarity for in-room and captured audio
The conference and executive rooms incorporated proper critical listening absorption and privacy-focused isolation
HVAC systems were routed and baffled to reduce noise without compromising airflow. Materials were selected for both function and feel: wood, fabric, matte finishes, and custom millwork conveyed warmth and professionalism across all spaces.
This multi-zone acoustic environment now allows Integrity Music to write, produce, collaborate, broadcast, and lead—all without ever leaving their headquarters.
